Baked Basmati Rice


This is a foolproof way to make rice! I use long grain Basmati and it is never mushy or sticky. This recipe can be doubled.


1 cup Basmati rice

1 3/4 cup boiling water

1 teaspoon kosher salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Combine all of the ingredients in an oven safe pot with a tight fitting lid

  • Bake at 375 degrees for 22 minutes

  • Allow it to rest covered for 5-10 minutes

  • Fluff with a fork to serve
